Dr. Winfried and Mrs. Rosemarie Kill’s dream was to honor the
memory of their daughter Sonja, who had been taken from them
too soon in an accident. In doing so, they founded the Sonja Kill
Foundation with the intent to help the Cambodian people receive
                        quality health care.

Due to the high mortality rate of children in southern Cambodia, the
Kill family’s vision for the hospital was to focus on the health of
children. With this vision in mind, the Sonja Kill Memorial Hospital
was built in the southern province of Kampot.

Members of the Kill family visit the hospital regularly to see their
                        dream become a reality.

The Sonja Kill Stiftung is a charity,
run under private law and located in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany. In addition to
regional social projects in the Rheinland area, the Sonja Kill Stiftung supports a
school project in Brazil and a center for survivors of human trafficking and child
                        prostitution in Nepal.
