In Nov 2014 we opened our new maternity ward and have assisted in the birth of 18 healthy babies. We are fortunate to have a great team of midwives, nurses and doctors who provide a safe environment and a high standard of care to Cambodian women giving birth and their babies.
Our services are critical to improving health outcomes in Cambodia. We provide free and low cost quality healthcare to the most disadvantaged Cambodian people, particularly women and children.
We consistently provide free and affordable quality healthcare to some of the poorest people in the world. Our efforts need your help.
Our new surgical department has opened. It enables us to treat patients who need immediate care for surgical conditions. We will be looking for surgical volunteers who can help us train our local staff.
We are soon opening our very own blood bank! This is important for us since we have just opened our maternity building and will be opening our surgical department. The need for blood donations is now more important than ever! Contact us if you would like to get involved…
Donate Blood ⇢
You can support our work financially, by fundraising, sending us supplies and equipment and even donating blood! Although we work towards being sustainable via our fee system, we also need and appreciate outside support to treat the very poor free of charge. If you are interested in volunteering, please see the ‘work with us’ tab.
We strive to improve the lives and health situation of Cambodians. Building healthy and empowered communities is vital. Sustainability is very important to us and we work towards this goal by providing health outreach and education in schools and communities, as well as home care to those who are too poor to travel to the hospital. Additionally, we provide expert training to our young Cambodian doctors, who will go on to become the next generation of healthcare leaders..
We are currently undergoing expansion and have a range of voluntary positions available. If you are interested in sharing your time and skills to serve the poor in Cambodia, then contact us! We also welcome interested visitors who would like tour the hospital and find out more about what we do.
If you plan to travel to Cambodia make sure you have your rabies vaccination current. Over 800 people per year die by being bitten or exposed to a rabid animal.
YOUR BLOOD DONATIONS

MEDICAL GAS SYSTEM?
Mr. Sou Kin, Technical Director of SKMH, explains that the Medical Gas System includes many different components: an oxygen concentrator, medical compressor and centralized vacuum system. It will provide oxygen and medical air to run ventilators for newborns and small children who need specialized ICU care. In its first phase, the system connects neonatal ICU, pediatric ward, delivery section, operating theatres and the emergency department. Later, the rest of the clinical areas will be connected as well.
